Authentic Profile
System Architecture & Trust Model
High-level system design, multi-tenant persistence, and trust verification pipeline.
System Architecture & Trust Model
Authentic Profile provides high-throughput digital identity verification through a cloud-native, distributed architecture designed for low-latency server-side rendering and cryptographic data integrity.

2.1. Zero-Trust Credential Verification
Every credential claim within a profile (e.g. employment history, degree, achievement, business licensing) is tracked via a discrete state machine:

2.2. Dual-Persistence Architecture
- Document Store (MongoDB): Houses polymorphic, nested profile schemas, user sessions, audit records, and OAuth client registries.
- Blob Storage (Supabase S3 CDN): Securely stores identity cards, diplomas, enterprise registrations, and compressed profile avatars with strict tenant-isolated paths (
files/{userId}/{folderId}/*).
2.3. Distributed Sliding-Window Rate Limiting
To prevent credential scraping, brute-force auth attempts, and resource exhaustion, requests are metered using an in-memory Redis sliding-window log algorithm, enforcing limits per IP address and API client key.
3. High-Availability & Performance Targets
| Metric | Target SLA | Strategy |
|---|---|---|
| Uptime | 99.9% | Stateless Next.js instances + Multi-region database replication |
| Profile TTFB | < 400ms | Next.js Server-Side Rendering (SSR) with Edge CDN distribution |
| API Latency | < 120ms (p95) | Native MongoDB connection pooling and Redis rate-limiting |
| Asset CDN Cache | 99.999% hit rate | Supabase Edge Cache with immutable hashed URLs |
