Zero-Knowledge Architecture Guarantee: All cryptographic encryption and decryption operations execute strictly inside your local browser via a dedicated Web Worker. The Vertueal cloud infrastructure persists solely encrypted ciphertext blobs and authentication verification hashes. Even under a total database compromise, your vault secrets remain mathematically unreadable.

1. Mathematical Zero-Knowledge
Your master password is never transmitted across the network, logged in server memory, or stored in any database. Your Master Encryption Key (MEK) is generated on your local hardware using PBKDF2 with SHA-256 across 100,000 iterations and authenticated through AES-256-GCM.
2. Zero-Trust Hardware Quarantine
Compromised master passwords cannot be utilized from unauthorized hardware. Every unrecognized laptop, phone, or browser is placed into immediate quarantine and must complete multi-factor authentication (MFA) via a time-bounded email code before vault access is authorized.
3. Ephemeral Burn-on-Read Sharing
Need to send an API token or database password to an external contractor? Create an encrypted single-use link. The decryption key is transmitted in the URL fragment (#...) which is never sent to the server. The link self-destructs immediately upon being viewed or after a specified expiration window.
