Secure Notes & Payment Cards
Safeguard confidential text documents, recovery seed phrases, software licenses, and corporate credit cards with AES-256 encryption.
Secure Notes & Payment Cards
Beyond website usernames and passwords, modern digital operations require securing arbitrary sensitive information: recovery seed phrases, API private keys, server configurations, and payment cards.
Vertueal provides dedicated interfaces optimized for storing and viewing non-password assets securely.
Secure Notes
Secure Notes support full formatted text and Markdown bodies, encrypted as an atomic payload inside your vault.
Common Use Cases:
- Cryptocurrency wallet recovery phrases (BIP-39 mnemonic seeds).
- SSH private keys and server connection scripts.
- Wi-Fi access passcodes and router administrative tokens.
- Confidential legal or corporate registration documents.
How to Create a Secure Note:
- From the dashboard, click + Add Item and select Secure Note.
- Enter a clear Title (e.g.
Production Bastion Host SSH Key). - Select an optional Folder or leave unassigned.
- Type or paste your sensitive content in the Notes Body field.
- Click Save Item.
Tip
Secure Note bodies are never truncated or downsampled on the server. You can store configuration files and multiline scripts safely up to the standard document limits.
Payment Cards
Managing corporate purchasing cards, virtual debit cards, or personal credit accounts requires strict field isolation and masked display defaults.
Stored Fields:
- Cardholder Name: Name as printed on the card.

- Expiration Date: Month (
MM) and Year (YYorYYYY). - Security Code (CVV/CVC): 3 or 4-digit verification code.

How to Add a Payment Card:
- Click + Add Item > select Credit Card / Payment Card.
- Fill in the cardholder details, card number, and expiration date.
- Enter the CVV security code.
- Click Save Item.
Masked Display & Quick Copy:
- When viewing a saved card, numbers are automatically masked (e.g.
•••• •••• •••• 4242). - Click the Eye icon to reveal the plaintext number.
- Click the Copy icon next to the Card Number or CVV to copy the value directly to your clipboard with automatic 10-second scrubbing.
Warning
Never share payment card details over unencrypted messaging apps. If sharing a payment card with an accountant or colleague, use an Ephemeral Shared Link with burn-on-read enabled.
